Parental Involvement
We feel parents and carers are the most important people in their child's life. We aim to form strong links involving parents/carers as much as possible. We want you as parents/carers to feel confident to be able to talk freely to staff about your child and about your opinions on the service. With your input and involvement in the service we can constantly be improving the service we provide.
We ask parents throughout the year their opinion on different aspects of the nursery and how they feel about it and what they would like to see us doing. We appreciate all parents input and like to take their suggestions forward to add to the service we provide.
We have introduced parents drop in sessions where parents come in to the nursery to take part in an activity with their child and the other children. This could be baking, reading a story, paining or building a rocket. Staff are there to help parents during the drop in sessions and we find both the children and the parents gain a lot from it nad parents get an insight into their childs day at nursery.
We have a parents committee who fund raise for the nursery, help us at parties and outings and also give us their views when we need parents opinions. They are also there for parents to speak to at any time regarding the nursery or parenting.
The parents committee are always lookin for members so if you are interested please speak to a member of staff.
We believe that we can best meet the needs of individual children by working closely with parents/carers. We aim to develop partnership between parents and staff which is based on mutual trust, respect, and promoting the sharing of information for the benefit of the child.
Management and staff work with parents and are always available to parents should they have any concerns or queries.
