Our Team
Lorraine McGrath
Proprietor (SVQ 4)
Lorraine has had different businesses in the past and this is her first nursery. She renovated the building and opened it for business in September 2005. She gained her SVQ 3 and more recently her SVQ 4 in 2009.
Karen Laird
Manager (PDA)
Karen gained her HNC in 1998. She worked for 5 years in a private nursery. She then worked in a crèche for 4 years as a depute manager before coming to us in August 2008. She has just completed her PDA and starts university in September to undertake a BA Childhood Studies.
Lisa McDonagh
2-5 Room supervisor (PDA)
Lisa gained her HNC in 2005 and she worked in after-school care for a year before coming to us. She has worked in our baby room as supervisor and she is currently working in the 2-5 room as supervisor. She recently completed her PDA.
Julie Anderson
0-2 room supervisor (HNC)
Julie gained her HNC in 2005 and came to us straight from college. She has worked in our 2-5 room as supervisor and is currently supervisor in the baby room.
Annmarie Mullen
Nursery nurse trainee (SVQ 2)
Annmarie gained her SVQ level 2 in 2008. She worked in afterschool care for a year and a half before joining us. She worked in our baby room for a year and has now been working in our 2-5 room since the summer of 2009. Annmarie also has 2 children of her own.
Craig Baxter
Student
Craig came to us in July 2009 straight after finishing high school and he is currently working towards his SVQ2. Craig is currently working in the 0-2 room.
Stephanie Docherty
Student
Stephanie came to us in July 2009. She had just completed a 6 week placement in a nursery after finishing high school when she came to us. She is currently working towards her SVQ2. Stephanie is currently working in the 2 1/2 to 5 room.
Lorraine Creighton
Cook
Lorraine came to us in February 2010. Previously she has worked in various different establishments and has over 14 years experience of working as a cook.
